Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some common questions we get asked relating our Kicking Tots sessions... we hope the answers here help!
How often am I expected to come?
Come as often or as little as you like! We charge per session, so there's no expectation to come every single week, but we'd love to see you if you can make it! We know everyone's schedules are different, and it's not always feasible to commit to each week. If you can't make it, just let us know, and hopefully we'll catch you at the next one.
How long are the sessions for?
The sessions last for an hour normally. As these sessions are for toddlers from walking age to 7 years old, an hour of activity is a lot of exertion, so this amount of time allows us to plan a session full of fun activities without the risk of burn out.
How much do the sessions cost?
The sessions are £5 per child, per session. This helps us to cover the cost of equipment, teas and coffees for parents and guardians, and this also helps contribute to staffing costs too so that we can keep proividing fun sessions for your little ones.
What activities do you do for the children?
We want to help build a love of sports early on. Our activities are focused around football, coordination, team work activities to help build and shape understanding on relying on others and supporting people around them in group sessions, sharing and working together, which are all fantastic skills to learn ready for a nursery setting later. But most importantly, we're here to provide a space for parents too! This is a fun and casual group to meet other parents, and have some fun with the kids with gentle sports.
Do the sessions include refreshments?
Everything is betta with a cuppa! We provide free teas and coffees for parents, and juices for the children during their stay with us.
My child has some limitations with their physical abilities, is this session suitable for my child to attend?
We want to accommodate as many people as we can, if you're worried about certain limitations drop us an email, and we'll have a chat on how we can ensure your child can take part! Everyone is different, and every child has slightly different needs and preferences for a comfortable session, we understand and want to support that.
Do I need to attend with my child?
Yes, it's really important that you attend with your child. While we run group sessions we try to encourage parental/guardian involvement as this has a huge benefit in the sessions for the children. This group is as much for the parents as it is for the kids, we're a friendly bunch, so stay and join us for a cuppa too!
